The NASA John H. Glenn Research Center

The NASA John H. Glenn Research Center is located on Lewis Field, within the cities of Brook Park and Cleveland between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and the Cleveland Metroparks's Rocky River Reservation. The center has a subsidiary facility in Sandusky, Ohio.

Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management and Operating Contractor of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) for the Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center (GRC), has released a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for capabilities, ideas and information that could lead to a potential industry/Government contract for development of a vacuum rated Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (RTG) system to support science missions. It is the intent of the BEA and GRC to use this information for market research and program planning purposes for a next generation RTG.

Timeline

Statement of Interest due back to the BEA Point-of Contract within the first week of the posting.
SSN response time has been set for forty-six (46) days.
Technical Interchange Meeting has tentatively been scheduled for July 24, 2018, depending on the response to the SSN.
