O Universo, algo impossível de imaginar quando se trata de dimensões, quantidade de galáxias, sistemas solares e todos os tipos de corpos espaciais.
Mas dentro dessa vastidão incalculável há um astro que desperta interesse particular, inicialmente devido ao seu nome, que tem origem na mitologia.
Ele é Tritão, a maior das quatorze luas do planeta Netuno; seu nome é oriundo da mitologia grega, onde Tritão é um deus marinho filho de Poseidon, que é o deus dos mares e oceanos. Na mitologia romana, Netuno é o correspondente de Poseidon.
O conhecimento atual sobre Tritão mostra um astro peculiar, que causa interesse especial.
É o único satélite natural do sistema solar que possui órbita retrógrada, ou seja, sua órbita é em sentido contrário à rotação do seu planeta.
Suas características, inicialmente desinteressantes, revelam um ambiente de beleza diferenciada e fascinante, com superfície vulcânica, fenômenos de criovulcanismo, erupções de gelo e atividades de gêiseres de nitrogênio líquido fervente.
Embora extremamente frio, com temperatura de aproximadamente -240ºC, sendo a lua mais fria do seu sistema solar, é possível admirá-lo como uma imensa esfera de gelo com atividades naturais de intensidade incalculável, proporcionando dinamismo incomparável no seu ambiente.
Viajando na imaginação, se hipoteticamente fosse possível projetar um veículo espacial que conseguisse chegar em Tritão e suportasse as condições adversas de sua natureza, se o ser humano pudesse também chegar lá e suportasse essas condições, o satélite poderia ser uma fonte de energia extraordinária que seria extraída das forças fenomenais que emanam das atividades naturais que nele ocorrem.
Comparando com nosso planeta Terra, Tritão pode ser colocado em condição de inferioridade, dependendo do padrão de relação.
Na Terra, a exuberância de vida, de variações de ambientes naturais, de cores, de seres vivos, é incomparável. A Terra é um paraíso no Universo, porém está sendo degradada pelas ações dos seres humanos, os maiores beneficiários de suas maravilhas, mas podem transformar esse belo e aprazível planeta numa esfera desértica e inóspita.
Mesmo que outros corpos espaciais sejam belos e maravilhosos sem presença de vida, isso ocorre naturalmente, de acordo com a formação e peculiaridades de cada um no processo de transformação do Universo. Como Tritão, que mesmo gélido, tem sua beleza peculiar com o dinamismo de sua natureza.
No Universo, cada corpo espacial é maravilhoso conforme suas características e devem ser contemplados e admirados como são.
Entre esses magníficos objetos, Tritão terá sempre destaque como satélite natural peculiar. Como na mitologia de onde seu nome é oriundo, como um deus que domina e controla seu ambiente, Tritão mantém suas particularidades e dinamismo de sua natureza sob seu domínio e mostra seu esplendor até onde o conhecimento humano abrange.
Como tudo no Universo, Tritão tem sua importância na complexidade e perfeição que o conhecimento humano não alcança."

The Universe, something impossible to imagine when it comes to dimensions, number of galaxies, solar systems and all kinds of space bodies.
But within this incalculable vastness there is a moon that arouses particular interest, initially due to its name, which has its origins in mythology.
It is Triton, the largest of the fourteen moons of the planet Neptune; its name comes from Greek mythology, where Triton is a marine god son of Poseidon, who is the god of the seas and oceans. In Roman mythology, Neptune is Poseidon's correspondent.
The current knowledge about Triton shows a peculiar moon, that causes special interest.
It is the only natural satellite in the solar system that has a retrograde orbit, that is, its orbit is in the opposite direction to the rotation of its planet.
Its characteristics, initially uninteresting, reveal an environment of differentiated and fascinating beauty, with volcanic surface, cryovolcanism phenomena, ice eruptions and activities of geysers of boiling liquid nitrogen.
Although extremely cold, with a temperature of approximately -240ºC, being the coldest moon in our solar system, it is possible to admire it as an immense sphere of ice with natural activities of incalculable intensity, providing incomparable dynamism in its environment.
Traveling in the imagination, if hypothetically it was possible to design a space vehicle that could reach Triton and withstand the adverse conditions of its nature, if the human being could also get there and withstand those conditions, the satellite could be an extraordinary source of energy that would be extracted from the phenomenal forces that emanate from the natural activities that occur in it.
Compared to our planet Earth, Triton can be placed in an inferior condition, depending on the pattern of comparation.
On Earth, the exuberance of life, variations in natural environments, colors, living beings are incomparable. The Earth is a paradise in the Universe, however it is being degraded by the actions of human beings, the greatest beneficiaries of its wonders, but they can transform this beautiful and pleasant planet into a desert and inhospitable sphere.
Even if other space bodies are beautiful and wonderful without the presence of life, this occurs naturally, according to the formation and peculiarities of each one in the process of transformation of the Universe. Like Triton, who, even though cold, has his peculiar beauty with the dynamism of his nature.
In the Universe, each space body is wonderful according to its characteristics and must be contemplated and admired as they are.
Among these magnificent objects, Triton will always stand out as a peculiar natural satellite. As in the mythology from which his name comes, as a god who dominates and controls his environment, Triton keeps his peculiarities and dynamism of his nature under his control and shows his splendor as far as human knowledge is concerned.
Like everything else in the Universe, Triton has its importance in the complexity and perfection that human knowledge does not reach.
